Lisa Anderson was awarded Employee of the Year 2021. She has worked tirelessly, going above and beyond on numerous occasions as well as taking on additional responsibilities due to the COVID response. I will say that this year (as well as 2020) has been much more difficult than normal to select this winner due to how exceptionally ALL health department staff have responded with grace and effort under the demands of the pandemic. Congratulations Amanda England Amanda was awarded for all the extra hours and effort and the exceptional job she has performed as our Epidemiologist throughout the COVID-19 response.
Congratulations Megan Harrison Megan was awarded for her impressive case management of a woman who had a rare diagnosis breast lump, and for the extra lengths she went to in order to assure a correct diagnosis. She did this while being a new supervisor, training new staff, and working through the Hepatitis A outbreak.
Congratulations Wilda Morris Wilda was awarded for going the extra mile with a family whose child was still-born and for making the baby a handmade dress.
Congratulations April Tuggle April was awarded for assisting a 5-year-old child, who had wondered miles from home, reunite with her mother.
Congratulations Shawn Crabtree Shawn was awarded for being instrumental in the 52 Weeks of Health media initiative and the roll out of the Kentucky Health Departments Association User Forum (an online forum connecting health departments across the state). He was also acknowledged for being a mentor to other health department Directors, and for serving several years as a Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute Mentor. His support and management of Lake Cumberland District Health Department was also highlighted. Congratulations Chris West Chris was awarded for all the extra effort he has put into his job while covering for our groundskeeper/mail deliverer during his absence. During this time, he had to help manage multiple water damage issues at our clinics as a result of the recent polar vortex.
