LCDHD accepts applications for employment upon the advertisement of a job vacancy, which includes the job requirements and duties. These positions offer a 5% raise after the successful completion of a six month probationary period. Opportunities for advancement and additional raises may be available through allowable personnel policies and procedures.
Full time positions are 37.5 hours per week and typical hours are weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, some positions may require a flexible work schedule.
11-1/2 paid holidays per year plus Presidential Election Day (every 4 years).

- Local Health Nurse I – Pulaski County and surrounding area
Hiring one Regular Full-time (37.5 hours per week) applicant who must have a RN license in KY or compact state or provisional license in KY, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as a Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).
No previous nursing experience is required, but preference will be given to applicant with at least one (1) year experience.
Duties include performing a variety of skilled nursing duties for local health programs in WIC, immunizations, Well Child, Family Planning, Cancer Screening, STD, Adult Health, and Tuberculosis.
