Support Services Associate I – McCreary County

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Support Services Associate I based in McCreary County.

General Duties Include:  This position serves under the direction of the Support Services Supervisor.  Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:  Route and direct the public to the right and correct information, prepare routine letters, labels and other appropriate material, maintain medical records and files, collect and record fees obtained to ensure completeness and accuracy, enter information from the Patient Encounter Forms (PEF) Outcome or Assessment Information Set (OASIS), generate and issue Woman Infant and Children (WIC) vouchers, request and review routine reports, order inventory and office supplies. Gather information from patients and insurance. Use the Environmental Health Management Information System (EHMIS), Provide certificates for services rendered in environmental, generate and issue all permits and applications, request and reviews relevant reports for completeness, complete forms containing all pertinent information for processing.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  High School Diploma or GED.

Starting Salary:  $13.50 per hour

Merit Salary/Position Grade: 10

RN-Public Health Nurse I

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department is accepting applications for full-time RN– Local Health Nurse I positions.

LCDHD is accepting applications to establish a register for local health nurse positions within our 10-county service area.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience: See special requirements.

Special Requirements: Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).

Starting Salary: $20.30 – $25.24 Hourly – Grade 17

Health Educator I (Transcript Submission Required)

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Health Educator I.

General Duties Include:  Attends orientation sessions to develop an understanding of the role of the clinic in health assessment problems, meets with members of the community to establish a working relationship, becomes familiar with available community resources, assists in exchanging information with various organizations and agencies concerning health needs of the community, assists in assembling materials to be utilized, gathers health information for the public relative to the specialized programs, distributes health education materials by a variety of methods, provides services according to the guidelines set by the Core Clinical Service Guide/Administrative Reference (CCSG/AR), participates as a team member, having a basic understanding of the team process, demonstrates an awareness of public service announcements (PSA) and assists in writing public service announcements for radio and television, submits written material to assigned supervisor for approval, determines working contacts with radio, TV and newspaper personnel. Collects and analyzes data for health program needs.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree

Starting Salary:  $18.07

Merit Salary/Position Grade: 15
