Control of Tuberculosis (TB) is a public health function achieved through early diagnosis and treatment of patients, testing of contacts and treatment of those with latent TB infection (TB infection without active disease, as in a positive TB skin test, normal chest X-ray and no symptoms). Medications and case management are provided at all clinics.
LCDHD will provide TB training and support for healthcare facilities within our district. Please call (606) 678-4761 (ext. 1166).
TB screening and skin testing are provided at all county health departments by appointment. A specialty TB clinic is provided at the Pulaski County Health Department monthly, please call 606-679-4416 for appointment. For all other counties (Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Russell, Taylor and Wayne) clinics will be arranged as needed.
