1. Public Health Nurse 1 (HANDS) Casey County– may cover other counties in our service area as needed.
General Duties include: Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to; conducting referral screenings and parent surveys on eligible families interested in participating in the HANDS program. Provide professional RN home visits and documentation of visits for participating families. Attend meetings and trainings as required and must be able to collaborate with appropriate local agencies. Special Requirements: Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041. Starting Salary: $20.30, plus a 5% increase after successful completion of six-month probationary period. Grade: Grade 17

2. Health Educator 1/ Social Media Manager
General Duties include: The person in this position will serve as a community health educator and the health department’s social media manager. Job responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop comprehensive communications strategy and plan for the agency; maintain media relationships and contact lists.
- Serve as the primary administrator of the health department’s social media accounts and website.
- Design, create and edit educational and marketing materials for the promotion of health department services and events.
- Serve as a liaison between the health department and media outlets.
- Provide health and wellness education.
- Present information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Develop, conduct, and coordinate health needs assessments and other public health surveys as needed.
Education, Training or Experience: Bachelor’s degree.Starting Salary: $18.07. Five percent increase after completion of six-month probationary period. Grade 15.

3. Administrative Specialist I
General Duties include: insurance benefit coordination, inform employees on key benefits, answering questions concerning benefits; maintain employee records which consist of employment history records, benefit records, performance evaluations, and current employment status. Advise and consult with employees regarding personnel questions, policies, regulations, and grievances. Participate in the recruitment and interview process. Assist in employee communication activities, including wellness committee, monthly newsletter, etc.
Minimum Education, Training or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Community Health, Accounting, Human Resource management, Computer Science, or related degree OR High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in administrative responsibilities such as budgeting, personnel planning, or closely related activities. Education in the subjects listed above will substitute for the experience on a year for year basis not to exceed four (4) years. Substitution for Education, Training or Experience: Education in the field will substitute for the experience on a year for year basis not to exceed five (5) years.
Starting Salary: $17.04. Five percent raise after six months. Grade 14

4. RN-Public Health Nurse I
