Amy Tomlinson is the Public Health Preparedness Manager for the Lake Cumberland District Health Department. As the Preparedness Program Manager she is responsible for writing and updating preparedness response plans as well as assisting in the design of preparedness, bioterrorism, and other public health emergency exercises to test and integrate plans with other emergency and disaster response agencies in our area and throughout the state.
Prior to working with LCDHD, Amy worked at the University of Kentucky in the Kentucky Injury Prevention Program as a Regional Injury Prevention Specialist. She covered 15 counties in the southeastern part of the state, including all of the Lake Cumberland region, as well as Whitley, Knox, Laurel, Bell and Rockcastle counties. Amy has worked with the Lake Cumberland District Health Department since October of 2004 and joined the preparedness team in October of 2011.
Amy also serves as Public Information Officer for the Lake Cumberland District Health Department. She has completed numerous trainings and courses related to preparedness and disaster planning.
Amy graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Master’s degree in Public Health.
