Kroger Health is offering drive-thru testing in Somerset April 21st through 23rd from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EDT at The Center for Rural Development (please do not go to any of the Kroger stores or clinic locations).

At this time, testing is being conducted based on CDC guidelines which include only those who are experiencing symptoms, healthcare workers, and first responders.  Symptoms include fever, cough, tiredness, and difficulty breathing or shortness of breath.

Selection for testing and registration will be through the Kroger Health’s Portal.

Testing is free, however, you must register through Kroger Health’s Portal where you will be screened for testing.  If you are approved for testing, you will schedule an appointment time on the portal. At your scheduled time:

  • please bring a photo ID and the registration number in order to enter the testing site,
  • keep your windows rolled up on your car at all times while in the testing area,
  • Kroger Health staff will direct you through the testing process,
  • results will be accessible on the patient portal within 3 to 7 days.

The testing will only be held at the Center for Rural Development.  Do not go to any of the Kroger stores or clinic locations.  Enter the testing site from Monticello Street which runs behind the Center for Rural Development.  You will exit through the front driveway of the Center and on to US 127.  The Kentucky National Guard and Emergency Management will be directing traffic.

    1. Kroger, not the health department, is providing this. Please use their portal as described above.

    1. No registration is required for today 4.23.20. If you are experiencing at least on symptom, if you are a healthcare worker, or if you are a first responder…go ahead and proceed to the testing site at the Center for Rural Development. This is the final day of testing. They are open until 5:30 today.
