Lake Cumberland District Health Department - Services | Programs | Child Care Health Consultant Program

During the first five years, children of full time working parents may spend more time in out-of-home childcare facilities, than the total hours spent in school from kindergarten to high school.  Child Care Health Consultation Program provides consultation on health, safety and nutrition to childcare providers. A Trained Child Care Health Consultant will work with child care providers and parents to improve your child’s health, safety and nutrition while they’re at a childcare facility.  The health, safety and nutrition of the children in our communities is important to your local health department, and the Child Care Health Consultation Program is a great way to help our children get what they need during these important years.
