
The Lake Cumberland District Health Department collaborates with other local agencies to maximum our community efforts to increase the number of women age 50-64 that get screened for breast and cervical cancer. Screening and follow-up services are provided via the local health care departments. This part of the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.
Breast and Cervical Coalitions are currently active in Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, and Wayne Counties. These groups meet monthly to plan and implement community education and awareness programs.
