Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and from all walks of life. Many STDs can be cured with medication, however if left untreated, they can lead to serious health problems. STDs and HIV can lead to serious infections; reproductive health problems; and infection can be spread to baby during birth or breastfeeding. Early detection and treatment of STDs and HIV can slow the progression of the disease and reduce the spread of infection. People affected with STDs or HIV often shows no signs or symptoms, so prompt testing and treatments are necessary.


STD services include testing and treatment when indicated. We also provide free HIV testing, counseling and referral for treatment. All services are confidential. Anonymous HIV testing is available upon request. Services are available at all ten county health centers. Call the local health department for more information.
